Mother's Day at lilac
This Mother's Day, we’re opening Lilac for a relaxed long lunch, designed for sharing and celebrating.
A $65 set menu will roll out across the table — grilled octopus with romesco, crisp cos hearts, house-pickled vegetables, wood-fired sourdough, and whipped eggplant.
For mains, whole rainbow trout cooked over the coals, served with champagne beurre blanc, fennel and samphire, plus plenty of duck fat potatoes and a simple green salad. To finish, a warm apple crumble with whisky crème anglaise.
For something extra, you can add a 14-day dry-aged Scotch fillet, served with burnt onion jus (+$30).
Expect a few special bottles open on the day too — Aussie fizz, large formats, and easy-drinking spring cocktails, perfect for a leisurely Sunday afternoon.

Dry-aged rump, potato gratin & salad.
Sustainably farmed on Flinders Island by the Davis Family (Game Meats of Tasmania), this grass-fed rump spends around 14 days in the dry-ager, which reduces the moisture content and intensifies the richness of the meat. The result, is a tender steak, with a whole lot of flavour.
Served with a crunchy leaf salad from our farm at Common Ground Project and Lilac’s potato gratin - a decadent dish of layered potato, herbs and smoked cream, baked over hot coals.Choose your sauce, Béarnaise, pepper or farm herb butter
